The following is an excerpt for the Duzie Newsletter about their visit to Kids Camp this year:

Upon arriving back into the States we washed our clothes, packed up our trailer and 36 hours later we were heading to a kids camp in Vassar, Michigan. What were we doing speaking to 8 to 12 year olds for a week? We were having a blast. Years ago we did several kids camps and have felt that the next generation includes them as well. This one was lead by a great team of children and “tween” workers from around Michigan. The greatest joy for us was watching these kids memorize God’s word in a very creative way. Our prayer is that they will live their lives according to the Word.We also taught creative skills at Marlette Country Fair Days and spoke at a family church service in Saginaw. We love doing these family church services and connecting with so many of all generations. (If your church needs us for a fun family day, contact us!)

Wow!  I can’t believe that July will soon be here- on Thursday!! Time sure is flying!

Our deadline for registrations for Kids’ Camp is June 30- however if you still want to go, please contact me and we’d be very happy to help in any way we can!

We are looking forward to having you join us for an awesome week of Camp!  It will be full of awesome time of connecting to God, meeting new people, seeing familiar faces, outstanding speakers, and lots of fun!! Come join us!!

Wow!  Praise God for this summer like weather!!  So awesome!  I am just returning home from spending a week at Camp for classes and it was amazing!  It’s so wonderful to be surrounded by God’s nature and beauty!  It was very peaceful and I enjoyed being able to hear, see, and smell the sights of the camp ground.  Then, I began to think about Kids’ Camp!  So excited!  We have a few registrations in, but there’s room for you!! Bring a friend, bring three friends!  Register and plan on joining us! I know that the date is a bit early, but turn your form in so you are scheduled to have some fun and have an encounter with God!!   If you have questions, please contact me; I’d love to talk to you!

  S.L.A.M. was at Hillside on March 26-27 with about 40 kids in attendance, we all had an awesome time and most of us made it through the night!  :0) The kids LOVED the Destination Unknown and had fun and were challenged in a good way!  Pastor Renee taught about the importance of being real and live out our faith all the time!  And used Easter eggs to remind us that it’s what’s in the inside that counts (1st Sam. 16:7).   Pastor Roger pulled a fast one and had the group make a banana split- but one set of ingredients was real, the other only “looked” real.   How are we going to live out our faith every day and be real? 

 A special thanks to Pastor Renee, Pastor Roger, Robin, Jen, Dena, and so many other volunteers that made this happen.  Please look for pics of the event to appear on the site soon!

Welcome to Children’s Ministry!  I am Pastor Amanda and I am the Children’s Pastor at Hillside Wesleyan, as well as the District Children’s Director.  I am super excited about being able to connect with you using our website.  Here you’ll find great resources and insights.  Working with children is a blessing, and sometimes you’ll find that they will have so much to teach you.
